Data loggers are typically standalone devices which do not require a computer to be connected to them, this gives them great flexibility in places they can be deployed, especially in tight areas. If your requirements need 24/7 monitoring then you may need ones connected to a computer or with greater connectivity such as bluetooth or wifi, these are more expensive.
