Air quality meter
Air quality meters are a device used to measure how much pollutant is in the air in a confined space. They can come in handheld, stationary or fixed to wall version to monitor the air as to ensure its safe for personnel to breath.
Typical pollutants
include
Some air quality meters have the auto calibration feature to measure against a certain benchmark or different locations. All PerfectPrime products are rigorously tested to a high degree, ensuring the product is accurate and operates efficiently time and time again.

INDEX
The air quality index is a scale typically from 1 -10, where 1 is the best and 10 is the worst, indicating the quality of the air. While different countries adopt different standards the general rule is the higher the number the worse the air quality.
The two most common scales are 1-10 and 0-500 with the latter being more detailed:
While measuring the pollutants
in the air to determine the quality,
there are 5 main pollutants
that are measured:
Ozone
Nitrogen dioxide
Sulphur dioxide
PM 2.5 particles
PM 10 particles
How does an air quality meter work?
Air quality meters work by capturing air samples into a chamber and beaming a laser from an optical sensor in the captured air. If there are PM particles present, it will cause the laser light to scatter. A light detector will capture the scattered light and transform this information into results showing the concentration of pm particles ranging from as little as 0.3μm, 2.5μm and 10μm.
