This thermal camera was designed and calibrated specifically for human use. In comparison to non contact thermometers it takes into account all thermal signatures within its line of sight, presented on the screen. Having analysed all this data, the sensor will auto detect the hottest point available.
Distance
Being able to safely monitor elevated human body temperature in individuals entering buildings is paramount to preventing the spread of viruses. Keeping a 2 meter distance is highly advised but many non contact laser thermometers are only accurate when used within 50mm (5 cm), making it extremely dangerous for the user being exposed if someone does have the virus.
The IR0280H can be used up to 2 meters away and still be extremely accurate. This greatly reduces the risk of potential infection for users and other individuals as they are also scanned instantly so that staff may pull them aside for further screening.
Stand
Being a handheld thermal camera has the advantages of being mobile and quick to deploy in different environments. At the same time, this model has a tripod mount hole at the bottom enabling it to be set into place for continuous surveillance.
Accuracy
Standard handheld thermal cameras have an accuracy of 2°C which if interpreted at the maximum ends can lead to missing individuals who have a high temperature. The IR0280H has been calibrated to be within 0.3°C accuracy which eliminates most of the potential of failing to accurately spot an individual with a fever.
alarm
Whether the thermal camera is deployed as a static camera or handheld, the user can set an alarm to sound whenever a detected temperature is at fever level. Monitor a continuous flow of people walking past with confidence that the thermal camera will catch anyone with a feverish temperature.
